This project required an all-encompassing, ongoing approach. Firstly we used analytics to understand how the user got to the site, what they did once there and how long they stayed on site. We discovered the users were quite erratic in their behaviour and rarely spent long on the site, preferring to retrieve the phone number and call. (Site currently self managed)

Problems

This project required three major problems  to be solved:

  1. User experience and streamlining behaviour

  2. Encouraging the user to seek information and then email/book online, rather than call as the office was regularly unattended 

  3. Creation of an online booking system that was very simple for the administration team and would link into the systems already in use. 

  1. Establish exactly what the business required the user to do once on the site

  2. Established primary user groups 

  3. Understand the information needed for each user group

  4. Streamline and reduce website content to avoid views getting lost

  5. Ensuring menu structure was easily navigable to suit each user group

  6. Creation of an online booking option to streamline bookings and minimise administration workload plus improve user experience 

  7. Create customised enquiry forms for each user group to gain extra data and allow  the administration to respond accurately 

  8. Minimise steps required for a user to book a predetermined program

 An athletically pleasing site that had 5 major results, among others.  

  1. 75% increase in online bookings

  2. 15% increase in customers 

  3. Improved customer 

  4. Drastically reduced workload for the administration team 

  5. Improved cash

  6. Clearer projections as more customers used the online booking system to purchase ‘block’ programs
